Okay...so, what is the Emergency Alert System?
So, chances are that, if you live in the United States, you've HEARD the EAS at least ONCE. You know, the 3 beeps (SAME headers) on your TV, then the attention signal, and then that normally really choppy message? That's basically what the EAS is! The Emergency Alert System is exactly what it sounds like, a system put into place to warn those in case of emergency.

Little word of advice...playing any, and I mean any tones on a TV station could trigger the EAS system! Oh, and, false alerts are...well, illegal. But you probably already knew that :P! Anyways..
